🌟 The Wedding Boom in India: Hotels, banquets booked to capacity 🌟
As we approach the auspicious wedding dates of November 22, 23, and 24, the Indian wedding industry is buzzing with excitement!
A recent Prabhudas Lilladher Private Limited report highlights that Indians are set to spend around ₹4.25 trillion on #weddings this year. Fewer muhurat dates in the year and a penchant for celebration is driving up demand in the hospitality sector.
Hotel rooms and banquets — Taj Mahal Palace, Grand Hyatt, and JW Mariott Sagar in Mumbai, Taj Mahal hotel in Delhi — are sold out and prices are steadily rising.
Destination wedding favourites are especially brimming. Raffles Hotels & Resorts is seeing a 20-30% hike in room rates in Udaipur while Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeing a 20% hike in Jaipur. The Radisson Hotel Group has seen a 10% hike in room rates for the month, Nikhil Sharma tells Business Standard
#Travel around the wedding season, meanwhile, is up 25% says Santosh Kumar of Booking.com
