ScoopWhoop CEO Sattvik Mishra Resigns Amidst Sexual Assault Allegations.
He wrote this on his Instagram:
“Due to personal reasons, I am stepping down from my post as the CEO of ScoopWhoop.
Last few months have been extremely challenging for me and my family with constant threats and mental harassment by an ex-colleague.
Addressing this matter and ensuring my and my family’s well being is my top most priority right now.
Rishi pratim Mukherjee, Co-Founder and COO will be the Interim CEO.”
Meanwhile, Samdish Bhatia wrote this:
“What they have now decided to come down to is plain and simple mudslinging and harassment against me and my lawyer.
I was sexually assaulted by the CEO of Scoopwhoop Pvt Ltd, Sattvik Mishra. I have been denied my truth and punished for just wanting to live my life.
I have been infantilised, threatened with ‘offers’ of huge sums of money to shut up and move on and I have been told by the people who run Scoopwhoop that any ‘misunderstanding’ can be sorted out and that I should just get over this and get back to being the ‘chirpy chirpy Samdish’ – their exact words.
I wonder, what the well aware, well informed, the ‘virtuous’ folks who still work at ScoopWhoop Unscripted make of this. I write this with anger, I still choose to refrain from going into the details simply because I know what it will do to me and I want to delay it as much as I can.
All I want is to focus on Unfiltered, make my content, live my life.
Mai chahe jitne Full Stops lagaane chaahun, abhi ke liye to inn logon ne keechad uchhaalne ka faisla kar liya hai.
Abhi ke liye itna hi. Thank you for your continued support. It really means a lot.”
Samdish Bhatia launches his own Channel – Unfiltered by Samdish, and the first video interview was with Kanhaiya Kumar. Cameraperson Surabhi Sundaram also left SchoopWhoop with Samdish Bhatia.
