- Delhi Police arrested Umar khalid for a speech he made in CAA protests
- Court asked Police to submit the original clip of speech
- Police said they took the clip from Republic TV & News 18
- Republic TV said they got the clip from BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya’s tweet
- Amit Malviya’s tweet was just a clipped video deliberately misinterpreted and taken out of context
The full speech talked about unity of people and it was played in court. Next Court hearing will resume in September.
