Is an MBA programme essential for entrepreneurs?
The percentage of entrepreneurs globally with an MBA degree has increased from 4.1% in 2014 to 6.1% in 2024, according to LinkedIn data. However, in India, the country-level percentage has decreased from 12.2% in 2014 to 11.6% in 2024.
For professionals from a non-business background, an MBA degree gives a “holistic understanding” of accounting, economics, and finance,” says Sindhu Biswal, CEO of Buzz Labs.
The degree also helps you develop financial literacy and leadership skills, shares Arun Prakash M, CEO of GUVI Geek Network.
