Gujarat is rapidly emerging as a semiconductor hub, and investments in the space are surging.
Kaynes Semicon recently received an approval from the Union Cabinet to set up a semiconductor manufacturing unit in Sanand, the Economic Times reports.
While Tata Electronics is building a ₹91,000 crore-semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Micron India plans to roll out the first batch of chips by early 2025.
The job market will also see an impact. Suchi Semicon’s investment in its Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing plant is set to create 1,200 jobs, reports Business Standard.
